    Typically when you get that error it's because your computer doesn't support Game Maker's surfaces. If your computer or video card is very old, surfaces won't work. Otherwise, it typically means you need to update your video drivers :)

    Roughly a year and a half, but keep in mind that development was very on and off during that time. There were some months where we didn't touch the game at all, and other months where we spent hours every day working on it :)

    Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I'm fairly certain I know the issue, so while it's probably too late to fix it for you I'll hopefully be able to stop future players from getting caught by the bug.

    Awesome! The game is great. Not sure what to do about the older version now, though. Would you mind maybe hiding it so that only the new one is visible in the game listings, but if anyone has linked to it already it'll still show up for them?
