I started using Game Maker in about 4th grade, which piqued my intrest in game development. I then learned Java and numerous other high-level languages (to some extent.)
My current nerdiness probably comes from my dad, who taught me HTML when I was very young, and many friends who also programmed. With that past aside, I'm interested in engineering and philosophy, in addition to programming, and pretty much everything you could label as 'computer science'.

3 weeks agoIt is very old, at this point. I would recommend just working at your own pace until you can read through libraries and then instead of using this, try writing your own. Developing this engine however long ago was one of the reasons I know what I do now regarding 3D game programming.

Hmm... yeah, it doesn't try to be something it can't achieve. The game was made as a game and not some novel experience, so now looking at Cave Storys whole plot again, I realize it's pretty masterful.
