Another Awesome game! There's really a great amount of variation throughout, and the enemies force the player to modify his technique. The art style and music are excellent as always and really set the mysterious somber mood together. Cacaw.

It has a very nice look to it. I really like the depth that the drop shadow effect creates on the objects; it goes well with the colorful cartoon aesthetic of the objects and backgrounds. The music is also well done. It would be nice if the shooting enemies would fire a burst and then allow you some space to get in front of them instead of firing at such a fast interval. There is the special weapon that cancels enemy bullets, but it seems really inadequate. You might take some hints from more traditional shmups. Such as having a small player hit box (it's way too big in this game) and having the player's bullets move much faster than the enemy bullets. Much of the time, the proper approach is to adhere to some of the precedents set by old shooters, while modifying or ignoring others. Overall a very nice game.
