Hey there, I've just browsed through your site, and it seems you're interested in 2D game development... I'd suggest Love2D for it's speed, stability, flexibility, simplicity and power (it uses Lua as standalone), something to compare with whatever Java libary you use. Just something I thought you might wanna try about before sticking to the dragons nest, as it 'could' be a more streamlined option for you. Best of wishes ^.^
