I like the way you can fall through the level now and come out at the top, it enhances the game mechanic; perhaps in your next version you can design some levels so you can walk through the sides. :)
I notice you removed the euro counter, I only suggested that you render it on top of the tiles; same goes for the "LEVEL COMPLETE" text.
If you want to further increase difficulty of the game, you could add turrets that sit on the walls and ceilings that shoot at fixed time intervals, forcing the player to focus more on timed jumps.
You still need some "level select" in there, but I understand that you need more levels and an increased game mechanic before then.
Anyway, fabulous, keep up the great work! :D
game is in development an any feedback is appreciated :D Lol, i've wrote about your suggestion in my last blog post.
abouta game:
- right/level fall.. yes, sure! :D
- euro counter .. i don't know.. is prettly clear after level 0-1 what you must do so maybe counter is useless? other players didn't even notice disappear :D
- for text on top, next thing.. a better gui, explanations, new levels and so on.
- for source code: go and try it, only remember that is GPLv2 :D let me know if you found new ideas to improve code, for now is just "write down and make it run"
thanks for any idea, i'll try to do best :D
I found this very fun to play as it is so simple. As your post on RandomTower says, random level generation might be interesting to see work, as well as enemies/movable-crates. Making movable crates work in my game has been a major pain and it would be amazing if you accomplished that.
The transitions could be cleaner, but that's just polish that you're going to add near the end of development right?
You might want to draw the number of euros left to collect after drawing the tiles. :)
Random level generation: it's only and idea for now, but if working will be really cool, so i can add more statistics and trophies :D
Moveable crates: why is a pain in your game?
Translation: my english is bad, i know, but i'll fix it in final release :D
Euros left: in my mind count on head of char is a sort of floating gui that help player to see how many points is left: 100 euros at start, then 90 and so on.. so help him/her to keep track of progress :D
