Kruunu [Out now!]
By stampede - Added On 1/11/2011
Tower climbing game with a pinch of puzzle. Smooth wall jumping, screen wrapping from the sides, enemies to watch out for and levers to open stone doors. All shown with nice pixel graphics and accompanied with rocking chiptune music.
Also there's a hint in the trailer, that it's not all about relaxing tower level.
Out on January 18th 2011, freeware, on Windows.
...Which means you can download and play it right now!

The level design was excellent, due to the crafty use of a 'wrapping room'.The game creatively challenged the player to utilize both the wall jump and the room wrap at times to progress through the level. I loved the music. It reminded me of Final Fantasy Legend II and was probably the highlight of the game for me, along with the fun platforming physics.
Despite the shortness of the game, it certainly does a better job than most of the other platform games I've played. Kruunu, to me, is a game about quality other quantity. Sure, it doesn't last longer 10 minutes, but they're a damn good 10 minutes.
I dunno.. i tried it once, and after like 5 minutes of going up and all being almost the same, i got tired and tried to get out and see if there was a save option, or the checkpoint was still available, and no.
Might be a good game if it were not tearing, and if it were a better controls and jump.
When I first played - I could jump in one leap get 2 cells. When I playing a second time, then a little bit does not get to the second cell. And often I can't normally jump off the wall.
And the tearing in the game - it's terrible (you can enable sync in the "global game settings" in the resolution tab ).
