Marathons have been ran, armies of skeletons have been crushed, and now it's your turn!  Dooms day is upon us, and it is up to each and every one of you to vanquish our common foe!  To arms men, and fight for honor and glory!

 

Can you make the high score? The names on the list say you can't, that you won't, and that you will fail!

 

Whats New:

Version 1.2

- Adjusted points for various items

- Added a "How To Play" section in the main menu

- Changed point colors to reflect where the points are coming from.

- Changed the color of the Wraith's Staff

- Changed the behavior of the Turbo powerup's bonus and Flight powerup's bonus.

- Added a red gem that provides more points than the common blue gem.

- Wraith now drops a black gem.

Does the game save the number of enemies killed or gems collected so in order to get badges like "collect 1000 gems in total" we don't have to do it in one sitting?

Correct! The ones that say "in total" imply that its out of your total playtime. For example: Run Forest Run! 15,248 miles (the estimated distance Forrest Gump ran) would be rather difficult to obtain in one sitting -- it instead takes the sum of all your runs since you've played the game.

Under the Achievements menu you can keep track on these statistics yourself.

The game killed me -_- While it was trying to respawn me there were enemies in the way so instead of placing my character the game just kept taking hearts away.

Thanks nik, after revisiting the coding in the recent weeks I've decided to reconstruct and recode knight runner due to it's sloppiness. I've also decided to move away from unity's built in physics since it's not really meant for 2d games, and decided to script my own, simpler one. So far the game works very smoothly (on my old samsung captivate too!). Once the rescripting has developed closer to what you see above I'll hopefully have all these bugs addressed. Sorry!

Is it just me? It seems like every time I die and click main menu or restart, it says LOADING........... And it never finishes loading... Then I have to reload the page. Sometimes it works, but most often I just resort to restarting the game entirely. :( Is there a way you could fix this, I could fix this, or maybe some way to prevent this from happening? It seems like this is an actual glitch with the game, however, if this is only happening to me then we have a mystery on our hands... Just thought I might let you know. Also, 98/100 if this ever does get fixed.

This is a known bug that I've been battling in the lats few updates. I personally have a hard time replicating the bug, and think it might have to do with the individual's bandwidth. How fast is your connection?

Great game and very addictive. You did a good job of making me feel accomplished when I killed the wraith. ;) The only thing I think would make it a little cooler would be more than three different feathers to pick up. Flying, double jump, and turbo gets a little boring after a while. As for replay-ability, you have so many achievements, that I could be busy for a long time. Also the mystery of the "Unstoppable" achievement... ??? Coool. Anyway, liked it a lot--one of the best indie games I have played. :)

Great Game! The character design and "attack by colliding" gameplay is very similar to a game developed for iOS called Slayin, which I believe is developed by FDG Entertainment. An inspiration perhaps? Regardless, it is still a very well made and very entertaining game.

Thank you! It looks like Slayin' came out for the iOS this year, but was available as a flash game a year before that (?). I've never heard of it until you brought it to my attention. Very interesting similarities in character! My inspiration comes from a japanese hobby game designer who developed games that provided as much gameplay possible with only giving one button for the player.

I unfortunately do not remember his name, and his games were before the iPhone/Android craze.

Very interesting! I see what you were going for and I am very pleased to admit that you actually successfully combined the one-button gameplay with the platformer game genre together very well. It is surprising how fun and addictive, yet equally challenging and strategic, a game could be when the player is limited to a single action/button-press. I hope to see more from this game in the future and more from you and your development team as well.
