Descent is a difficult platformer currently in development. I'm adding more levels and gameplay elements so keep checking back for updates.

Currently only 7 levels available, once you reach the end it will take you back to the menu.

Instructions :

Left and Right arrow keys for movement.

Spacebar to jump (hold down to get higher)

I love this game, Its perfect. One question: I am trying to add audio to my game:http://gamejolt.com/online/games/strategy-sim/retro-racer/5721/ and I just cant get my game to grab the url from this site.Would you mind sharing some code,or is the audio built in with LWJGL that you used.

I used Slick2D (based on LWJGL) which includes classes for Sound effects and music.

Good start! It runs smoothly and handles well. You might consider prettying it up a bit though, maybe with different backgrounds or different colored blocks.

Thanks for the comments. I'm hoping to eventually give each world it's own colour scheme. I'll look into adding more backgrounds too.
