What do you do when you get trapped in an abstract painting? Well you collect all of the orbs of course. Use the arrow keys to move, space to point towards nearest orb, and escape to save/quit.

Great concept, I already have 550 orbs! I however keep on wondering, when and how will I be able to get trough the grey lines?

Very fun and colourful, with great music. But sometimes it rotates when you dont really want to, and more than once i got stuck, and i couldnt get out of the segment of the picture i was in, but luckily you can exit to the menu, and it save your progress and puts you back in the 1st segment. Still, its pretty fun, and itll keep me occupied for a while 4/5

interesting, but just because the game have room wrapping does not make it more interesting to collect orbs.

I beg to differ. The rotation of the room creates mini puzzles of how to reach the different orbs. Sometimes you have to change how you enter to reach certain orbs. It also allows for just exploration from many different angles. That is definitely MORE interesting than just collecting orbs. But I am not saying you have to like it, I understand that there will be a lot of people that won't.

If I was CROS I wouldn't feature it. I'm honestly surprised at how much people like it. o_o

My pain problem with this game is the lack of variable jumping, which caused me a lot of problems. One such problem with invariable jumping in-game: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4801027/jumptoohigh.PNG I couldn't obtain that orb in the pink section because every time I jumped, I'd just hit the boundary of the blue area and get thrown into it. Given the frequent need for precise jumps it's really annoying at times.

Something else, which I can acknowledge is just me, is the harmful things. For a game like this, I personally just want to explore for fun with no risk of death!

But it's a good game overall. Not rating as I really don't know what I'd give it.

With the invariable jumping, I intentionally made it that way to give me more control over level design. I then could make areas that you can't get orbs without switching rooms so that I could make sure players would have to access it in a certain way.

And with harmful things, they actually weren't intended at first, but as it got bigger, I felt that some people would find it too repetitive, so I added them. I tried to not add too many hard areas and it just sends you back to the beginning so it shouldn' hinder exploration TOO much, but I see where you are coming from.

And I should add, in that screenshot, to get the orb you must access that room from what appears to be the top. By going from the gray room right into the blue room, you would be able to jump into the pink room on that side and retrieve it.

This game hasn't been getting the attention it deserves. I like the concept and idea that you're in a painting. I also find the level design extremely clever (well, the level design for this style of game is everything, soooo....). It's simplistic yet very challenging. Quite fun; will take a while to beat :P

Oh, I forgot to say the only suggestion I have would be to include the ability to toggle fullscreen. Personally, I prefer not to have fullscreen if it doesn't stretch anyway, and the game is tiny on my screen (with all the black space around it).

I have to admit that the room wrapping was a bit lacking; I found a little tunnel that it didn't allow me to enter, and when I entered an image to the side, I sometimes had to be just in the middle of that image to enter.
Other than that, this is a great game. The game is huge and takes a very long time to complete, so autosaving made my day.

Could you please make a picture of the entire painting? That would be great :D

Your complaint is due to the fact that you cannot switch rooms in the corners. I made it this way because otherwise a player could switch in a corner and it would get stuck spinning like crazy because it would constantly be next to a wall and would switch. It shouldn't make too much of a difference as far as the gameplay goes.

Glad you liked it, not sure I would go and take a picture of the whole thing... it would be rather large. o_o
