Indie Statik Impression

While there are many games that take us to ruined places that have experienced what we refer to as “an apocalypse”, there are surprisingly few games that actually let us experience the process of what an apocalypse might be…the majestic end of the world. Perhaps it’s too hard to fathom into game design, or a virtual world, as our imaginations instantly supersede any attempts to capture even slightly what something so terrible might be like.

Absolutely wonderful. Incredible building atmosphere, stellar soundtrack, and well done environments. Spooky, sad, terrifying, and beautiful. An absolute must-play.

The graphics were good, i did however experience some glitching, especially when walking on and near the rocks and pillars. My first impression was that the setting was great, and as i listened to the first piece of the story I found the voice acting to be impeccable.

The stories by Lovecraft are excellent pieces of literature. However, chopped up in pieces, I sadly didn't find the stories appealing. The fact that english is not my first language didn't make it any more fun. I just wanted to see the ending after playing for ten minutes, and the ending wasn't that great at all. I didn't even manage to finish listening to the stories.

The concept was great, but I wouldn't have spent my last 20 minutes on earth listening to people rambling on about stories by Lovecraft.
A clearer, more compelling story with a little more time might have made this game great, but for me this is a 2/5

This is what Dear Esther should have been. Dear Esther may be prettier, but this is a better storyteller.

This game was amazing. I loved the concept, the voice acting was brilliant...

I have played games based on Lovecraft stories before, but never had the chance to read one. I loved that this game gave me the stories directly.

If the frame rate seems choppy even at low settings, it is probably either your connection or your computer, as it was entirely fine for me.

I applaud you, sir. You have made a truly enjoyable game that I am definitely sharing with friends.

An awesome game. Too atmospheric to be indifferent.

The choppy framerate (even at it's lowest graphical setting) really take the punch out of what seem's to be an incredibly atmospheric game. The soundtrack and voicework are stellar... but again, navigating at 4-8fps utterly ruins the experience; making simple A to B movement a chore. It is a shame, as I am really wanting to replay a few times so as to pick up the remaining story points.
