The theme for last May’s Ludum Dare competition was Minimalism, and while we saw the expected amount of sparse visuals arise from the constraint, a few games chose to interpret it differently, focusing on minimized gameplay and leaving the looks alone. Gods Will Be Watching was one of these games, a harrowing drama condensed into a single, fixed screen, boasting a strong visual style and an even stronger difficulty. Two months after the success of their prototype, Deconstructeam has launched an indiegogo campaign to expand on the original game and turn Gods Will Be Watching into the full-length, emotionally devastating point-and-click it deserves to be.
