About Earth is a 3D Planet:

A fast shoot-em-up — with a twist. You have 10 seconds to live, flying close to asteroids or destroying enemies grants extra time. How long can you last?

Features retro-styled, black and white graphics, huge explosions, a catchy soundtrack and cool slow motion effects. Experimental Twitter based gameplay and free-play modes included.

Submit your scores online and see if you can rank amongst the TOP 10 of Earth is a 3D Planet players.

A bit more on the creation aspect:

On the design and presentation side the game features retro-styled black and white graphics, huge explosions, a catchy soundtrack and a scoreboard to compete against your friends. The game had not only to be challenging, but also it had to look fun and engaging.

Due to time and budget (a.k.a. none) constraints a minimalistic look was chosen. On the upside this allows the in-game typography to shine.

Despite lack of controller support ( this game does not require controllers as much as other vintage style games given the navigation style i guess) and how hard it can get, i still enjoyed the Hell out of this game!!!....to the point of me doing a little review of it at the site I work at.

Keep up the awesome work!!!! (and let me know if you do add controller support to this in the future...and perhaps if we could actually host the game download as well)

Well that seems like a really unnecessary comment. I'm very sure this section was not put together with Name Calling in mind

He's just saying it cos it's a hard thing to do..which it must be, thus making it more time consuming for the dev. Maybe he was just taking out his frustration on ya. I mean, Devs live a pretty stressful life xD

No, actually I'm saying it because he constantly criticizes and even downrates games over this, and went as far as making a fanatical "console gamer elitism" forum thread about it.

Is this REALLY the place for this? sorry my opinion on games is not cohesive to yours, but it is just that, an opinion. Ironically, I ended up reviewing this game, and said nothing but good things about it. same as your game. I figured this is supposed to be a forum for people to express different ideas on games and what they would like to see done with them, and i did just that. and I did it without insulting people on a thread for another developers game.

This game is pretty cool, although it would be nice to have in-game instructions (I played loads of times without knowing that going faster gives you more points) and a different asteroud color, since sometimes they get hidden in the explosions.
Also, it would be nice to keep the ship more centered in the screen when you go full speed, my mouse kept getting out of the window while i was aiming. :) (Still, if I played in fullscreen, that wouldn't happen).

TheGuardian, to get more points, try to speed it up a lot on the beginning, then just keep your speed and shoot every asteroid that might threaten you. (don't worry if you waste a lot of shots, tho worst that can happen is to go slow-mo, and then it's pretty easier to get time at full speed ;) )

Yeah I agree with most of your points. E.g. some parts of the game being counter-intuitive at first and the ship veering dangerously close to the screen edge. (Well some of that can be helped by zooming out with the mouse-wheel I think.)

These problems stem from the fact that this game started live as a somewhat casual project, which a lot of people ended up liking. So I piled up more and more on top but didn't for example have the menu-structure to back it up.

I will look into it though, the code is thankfully quite clean. So thanks for the feedback guys! :)

Nice game, a bit hectic for my tastes and it is a tad too easy to get lost in the explosion graffix. How do you survive longer though, I saw someone online with 50seconds. :O

I managed 16 at best :(

Thanks for the mac version too, not many mac games here. So I have to Bootcamp a lot.
