I would have to agree that it more played on very obvious fears than created fear itself. Unfortunately, I spent too much time on that fear to make the puzzle element shine. :(
Thanks for the feedback. I inevitably have to agree with you about the mechanics allowing for the scare of the angels to be diminished. Some later levels try to force you into the unknown, but they ultimately fail, as I myself didn't really understand the mechanics at the time. If the game is running slow, did you try to turn down the settings? At lowest, it runs fine on even the cruddiest computers I could find.
Yeah, low FPS coupled with the default mouse acceleration isn't very fun. Either way, it was my fault for making it only accessible by the ini, so quick-play users had a worse experience.
I liked the Graphics, some nice looking 3D for a GM game, the lantern added a nice touch. Lack of sound is a bit troubling and the game play is very samey and gets tiring after awhile.
I think if you had more time to wok on game play and add some sounds this game could turn out well.
Some more sound/music would have been nice, but all in all a rather good experience !
The angels freaked me right the hell out at first, but once I figured out the mechanic it didn't bother me too much.
Didn't finish the game, it ran too slow and the levels were sort of dull. I see what you're going for, though, and I think it has promise.
