MyneKraft - My entry for the Indie Game Demake contest.

This is a Demake of Minecraft Alpha: http://minecraft.net/

Use the arrow keys or A/D to move. Space to jump.

Use your mouse wheel or the keys 1-9 to select your current tool. Press I to access you inventory and for crafting.

You can create different items by combining items from your inventory, for example stick + coal = torches.

There are a lot of features missing which I didn't have time to add, but I think it's a good contender for the contest :) Looking forward to hearing other people's thoughs on it!

It is slightly buggy (like torches can apparently displace water when placed in it), and it isn't as scary, but I think you've done a great job recreating the original. Everything is really good. I think you should keep going on this project, because it can turn out to be an excellent recreation. And who knows what you could with newer updates? Maybe the Nether?

The game has some obvious bugs, and it's not very engaging, BUT

It's a freaking awesome demake! It's quite accurate and I started to get obsessed with cave exploring until bad controls popped up. :(

I know the release was tight because of the contest but you should totally keep working on it :D
