Play through three full levels of the first ever commercial release from Zayne 'Zed' Black (and his imaginatively titled one-man studio, 'Games by Zed').
‘Flibble’ presents an old-school concept with a modern-day design philosophy, blending the best of both worlds beneath a pleasing veneer of British charm.
‘Flibble’ is a 2-dimensional top-down adventure game with a retro aesthetic and a focus on navigating increasingly complex mazes, inspired by the classic Atari 2600 game, ‘Adventure’. It features a robust story mode with over 6,000 words of dialogue (and a dedicated ‘explosion button’, for those of you who get bored easily while reading), telling the tale of Captain Dirk British, a space explorer in the employ of the International Space Corps.
Aboard his ship, the Dauntless Elite, Captain British and his A.I. companion Clive drift lazily through space, enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation when, suddenly, their craft is hit by a missile launched from the planet over which they are passing. The ship crash lands in a forest, where the mystery of the planet’s inhabitants, the Flibbles, begins to unravel.
Captain British must traverse the strange planet, meeting a small cast of characters who slowly help him to piece together the strange goings-on and, hopefully, give him the means to fix his ship and return to space. Is it a simple misunderstanding, or is there something more sinister afoot (Spoiler: It’s the second one)?
Armed with limited ammunition, a static map of each area and state-of-the-art technology known as the ‘breadcrumb system’ (flashy glowy beacon thingies) for navigation, you must guide Captain British through the perilous mazes, facing off against hostile enemies and rescuing the poor, restrained Flibbles to unlock the gateway to the next zone.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Oh no! You can then move on to Time Trial mode, completion of which will finally unlock the SUPER SECRET INCREDIBLY AWESOME BONUS LEVEL. So as you can see, there’s a lot to love about ‘Flibble’ that should keep you entertained for a pretty long time, or at least until the first planned free content update is ready.

Oh, and your progress in the demo will CARRY OVER to the full version. So y'know, you're not wasting your time here, or anything. Because I'm nice like that.
