Life is hard when you're a prisoner, wrongly accused.
When you're pregnant in prison, life can be even harder.
You will want to give up.
But when you are then accused of a new crime, the murder of one of the inmates,
you finally get the desire to fight back, and prove your innocence once and for all!

Depictions of women’s prisons in most forms of media are scarce, which is part of why I was drawn to Tzachs Shabtay’s adventure game, 9 Months In. The game places you in the role of Sarah, a pregnant prisoner who awakens one morning to find her cellmate dead from suffocation. Sarah has made her share of enemies as a district attorney, but whether or not she’s being framed for the murder, or there is something more complicated at play, is a mystery for the player to solve.
