Jeremy's life is an endless gauntlet of beatings and ridicule devoid of affection. How many days can you last before ultimately giving up?

Jeremy is an art game I made for Gamejolt's Music Interpretation contest, where the theme was to make a game based on your favorite song.


EDIT: New fixes!

-Jeremy loses the bat only when knocked down.

-Jeremy's punch is more responsive.

-Other collision and graphical fixes.

I love the metaphors throughout the game, especially the "quit" sequence. Art style is rad too.

Addictive game. I really like how you end the game. Bad fighting system makes the game nightmare hard at times (Usually when you have more then 2 enemies on your left and the same on your right side). Repetitive music... It starts to annoy after 10 minutes of trying not to get suicidal. Average game.

Thanks for playing and commenting! Every aspect of the game is intended to make the player weary and encourage them to quit, hence the maddeningly repetitive (but undeniably funky) bgm tracks.

jeremy spoke in class today...

this song got explained in my class last year as we were discussing bullying on school, since I heared the song then, I never stopped listening to it because it's reminding me of a lot of things around me.

great input, 4/5 deserved

Pretty decent. Graphical style is very nice, and gameplay was smooth. I can't help but think that more interface could have been added to it.

I might add to it later if I think of more stuff to add, but generally if I don't set a cut-off date for a game I update the damn thing forever. More likely I'll use the engine for a more detailed beat-em-up with a proper ending.
