Amaurosis

Amaurosis is a fast-paced 2D shooter with stunning visual effects. It was originally created to showcase the new effect, but I decided to release it as a game along with the source.
It was created using gamemaker 7.0, no need to give credit if you want to use the effect, but it is always appreciated :)

yeah sorry about that, the score thing is messed up since I just rushed it to get it over with

It's a neat effect you came up with, and I think it's great that you've included the source file for other Game Maker devs to learn from. As a shmup though, I found it a little confusing. I didn't understand why there was a duplicate ship in the playing field, and after I had defeated a ton of little enemies, the ending screen said that I had 0 kills... :(
