- Game Overview
drone is a shooter mixed with a rts/tower defence game.
This game requires a reasonably good computer to run (a video card); it will auto scale to your desktop resolution, but can be changed in-game if it is running a bit choppy ( < 50 fps).
This game can be played like a shooter, but it can also be played as an rts. There are several different strategies.
Difficulty settings are in the main menu.
WSAD = movement.
left click = everything else.
more in depth instructions on my website and in the game.
Thankyou.

The structures are really expensive, and don't hold for more than a wave or two. The areas are extremely long. You don't get to keep anything you bought afterward. There's very minimal progression. Just... a bunch of things I don't like about this game.
The concept is really great, though. I enjoyed playing it. I just wish it were slightly different. -

Attrition is controlled for with the ammunition cost when you have weapons, but when you have buildings with unlimited ammo, it is the buildings themselves that have to be destroyed.
There is also fairly significant damage and income inflation which is why I made the late tier weapons and buildings cost so much. (I also didn't want to allow you to have the best of everything, you have to make a decision which strategy you're going for and build around it)
The inflation is caused by your income being directly tied to the enemies which are tied to the difficulty.
In the next game, I'm going to split the resource system into two parts which *should* fix this. Having a experience system (based off kills) and a mana system (fixed regeneration).
I made the difficulty settings screw with the attrition factor by making easy give you a 20% subsidy on everything you kill, and hard giving you a 20% tax. You should try it on easy and see what you think.
You can somewhat control how long an area takes with the next wave button, I'm not sure how else I could speed things up.
