- Game Overview
Jill's Trails is actually the predecessor of Daves Trails.
It has 50 Levels of Puzzle Solving Fun.....Can YOU get to the end ?
Jill's Trails is a puzzle game. No scrolling, no learning curve, no arcade action, just a puzzle that you have to solve. If you see two of the same color squares on the grid, just connect them with the same color...Simple.
......Or is it?
Jill's Trails was written for WinXp. It may work on other platforms but it WON'T change any DLL or System Files on your machine. (So it won't hurt if you try it)
Latest Update 1-14-2010...... Added Start/End markers.
We hope that it gives Ya'll a small break from the pressures of everyday life.
Thanks Again for all of you on GameJolt that have been so kind and supportive. We really appreciate your positive responses.

LRP--thanks for the tip. The game is super. No fancy effects, just a game for stirring up the brain cells.
Mike--They also did one called Pic 3, but it's not as original.Reply -

There's nothing like this out there, and I've been doing PC puzzles for 13 years. Besides, the developer is constantly rewriting to improve it. However, I feel the starting and ending tiles should be marked for clarity.
Along with Dave's Trails, a piece of open-source worthy of SourceForge.net. -

A totally originally game, nothing like any PC puzzle I've ever done. Dave and Jill are American originals. But I could have done without the music and sound effects, have removed them from the files.

Anyone have a strategy for this game? I found lots of patterns on Dave's, but this one has me stymied after Level 15.

Well, more like about Level 21.

Thanks for the quick reply to my email and actually adding the sound effects past level 21.
When I turned the music off I was dissapointed that the sound effects were gone also.

Very Glad that I stumbled onto this site. Had to give Jills Trails a 4 ONLY because I had to compare it to Daves. You guys rock!

Oh My God! We just downloaded your game and wanted to rate you a 5 also!
But we had to compare the two trails software and One had to be better, didn't it?........Very difficult choice. They Both had Very Good Points.
Jills was a little easier and Daves was more demanding on the brain.
LOVED them both!
You guys, along with a small few, are breaking the Game Maker Mold!
Good Work. Please keep it up. -

I was first introduced to the Trails Software when I was in London. We were downloading puzzle games and solving them as a group or just deleting them if they seemed foolish and just having fun together.
When we downloaded Jills Trails it was as if something was totally different than the stuff that we'd been downloading. And I'll never forget how the mood changed. We had been downloading freeware puzzles and laughing and having a good time and then all of a sudden when we downloaded Jills Trails it was as if someone waved some kind of wand or something! Don't know why but we just FGInto this game.
We Loved it!
LSS When I got back to the States I discovered Daves Trails.
If it wasn't for Daves Trails I would have given Jills Trails a 5 Just for the hours of fun I had.

You deserved a 4!
The only reason that I rated it a 3 is that I just LOVED the other trail game So Much.
Keep up the great work. -

You guys have written some fantastic software!
I looks different, it plays different, it even runs different than the usual freeware stuff on the net or the stuff you buy!
I just like the way that it runs on our computers.
I'm giving you a 5 because I like your game better. I think that your husbands game is a little too hard for me so that is why I gave him a 4.(I should have given him a 5 also but....)
I can't believe that you guys are giving these games away! I was in Walmart the other day and paid over 11 dollars for something that looked Much better in the package. But when we got home, they soon got tired of that game and others that we downloaded and went back to solving the Trails games that we are all trying to finish.
Thank U2 for giving us something that our family works on together.
