Vertiglow

My entry for the Game Jolt "Axiom" Contest.

You have been stricken by an ancient curse that has turned you into a glowing blob. You can overcome the curse by collecting all of the magic Blue Tablets, but in doing so you have to deal with another part of the curse - every 5 seconds, gravity will flip 90 degrees.

 To win a level, you have to collect all of the Blue Tablets to activate the goal, then get to the active goal to proceed.

Controls:

-Arrow Keys (Move + Jump)

-Escape (Exit to menu, from menu exit game)

The game has 9 levels, a boss, and a cool unlockable option. Feedback via comment is appreciated. :)

0.56: Ability to import your own mp3s, wavs, and wmas for music

0.57: Ability to specifiy particular levels to play different music files, changed look of countdown timer

0.58: Added auto-flippers, revamped level 3, changed some visual elements, added a save feature (saves progress and settings when you exit the game), added intro story sequence

0.7: Changed story, 4 new levels, new visuals, boss level, ending sequence

0.71: Music is now included in the executable

1.0: Changed many visual elements, added secret option, added one new level

  I didn't enjoy this as much as others seemed to, but maybe that's because the rotating screen started to make my stomach turn? Haha. Anyway, it was alright; I just didn't find the level design to be as precise as I would expect from a game like this I guess. You could kind of hop around and win pretty easily (except for that level with the purple eye that wouldn't stop staring at me). Good job though. Keep it up!

  As a contest game, this gets a bump because it was made in less time then most other games get. So that said it's sort of unpolished and short, but the general idea is fun and frantic. The game is somewhat easy and short, but I feel the mechanic ran it's course by the end of the game, so it was timed just perfectly.
  
  Good attempt and an excellent contest game. It won't give you long lasting fun, but you'll get your fun out of a free download.

  Great game the music is great, and the levels is great. It would just be awesome with an quick switch botton, and sometimes it is boring to get ALL the blue obj. 4/5

  Amazing Game I dlove the idea :) Although the idea around the axiom is strange the game is so amazing the graphics is very nice and the gameplay is so fun :) wish to u goodluck :)

  Looking good - the graphical style works in my opinion (quite a few people have said they clash a bit). It's fun to play too.
