- Game Overview
Specter Spelunker Resizes is a demake of Specter Spelunker Shrinks by Ken Grafals.
Your goal is to get to the moon once again.. but this time it hides a prize!
But don't think that you're going to win; this adventure is much harder than the previus. Be careful.
You may get stuck in the wall; there are multiple ways to get out of it again, but if everything fails, press R to return to the last checkpoint.
The game was made for Game Jolts Demake contest.

Very nice. I like the layout of the level.
If I have to nitpick, I'll say that there were a few too many checkpoints. Maybe that's just me, I wasn't dying much.
Also, the resizing is a little jumpy, but hey, it's a remake.

I didn't think it was THAT hard...
Very nicely done. I liked the simplicity of it, and the music of course matched...Dunno where you got a chiptune version of the song from SSS but it's awsome :D
I dunno how much is intentional, but 2 glitches that i feel like are'nt glitches are right next to each other...I don't know quite how to explain it without beating it again and getting to that point, but at one area, there is a straight line in a smallish space, broken by red now and then. Your supposed to jump from the white spots, but if you fully max out your size, you can simply move straight over the entire area.
The second one takes place soon after. There is a red pit, a square platform, and another red pit, folowed by a wall with a little crack in it. If you jump from the ledge onto the square in the middle while large, you die,...even though there is no red. I tried a few sizes, and any on the larger side killed me, while being smaller was fine.
Other than those little bits, and some problems with jumping, I thought it was fantastic. Great job! :D

Thankyou for the oversized comment!
I understand that you don't know where I got the music.. I made it myself! :D
And the two glitches you found.. the first one I didn't know, but the second one I knew already. I'll try to fix it when my brain wants to make games again, but for now, it's stuck at playing Garry's Mod.

You're aware the SSS music IS a chiptune, right?
BK-TN said 1 year ago
No, not exactly. It's got a single 8-bit instrument in it, tho.

Great game. I liked the original a lot and like what you did with yours. The only thing is it feels a it like the same game but with a different level. I do like that your game was made in Game Maker, though.

Loved It, challenging, clever and entertaining, got really really far, but stopped after a while.

What an awesome game! Nice GM implementation. There are a few ideas in the level design I learned from. It was neat how his absolute velocity didn't change if you jumped then scaled. Jumping through the small opening in the ceiling in that one room was neat. Thanks for demaking my game! :D

Thanks alot, I'll be happy to see the ideas you got in a full, non-prototype version of SSS! :D

Heh, I never rated or commented. Hehe, it was fun, a little glitchy, the music was great, erm... hard (xD), and the gameplay was as fun as the original, great work. 4.5/5 roundup to 5
