- Game Overview
This is the first public beta of my current project Shapes. This beta contains the level editor, and a load button which lets you play your created levels. If you just wanna give it a spin without creating your own level, just hit the load button and type in "test". You'll be taken to a small test level I made for the beta.
CONTROLS:
Left and right arrow keys - Move left and right
Z - Jump
LEVEL EDITOR:
The level editor is pretty straight forward. Just click an item on the left and you can place it on the "canvas" to the right with another click. Delete items with a right click. When you're finished, click "save", enter a level name, and then click "quit". The "load" button inside the level editor hasn't been properly implemented yet, so it's pretty much useless.
As this is a beta, I encourage you to let me know if you find any glitches or errors in the game, or if the FPS in the bottom right corner drops significantly.
A note about fire:
In my own personal testing, my fire engine worked at a constant fps for up to 8 flames. Any more and it began to lag. You're more than welcome to push the envelope and see how far the engine will go, but I can't guarantee too much fire won't freeze your computer up.

Banov,
Yes, I'll be adding a single player mode with tutorial levels and as many pre-made puzzles as I can manage. I'd also like to include some other things, I just haven't decided on what exactly. Right now, this beta is just to show the gameplay and test speeds on other machines. Thanks for the comment and the download :)Reply -

Seems pretty neat, but also unorthodox to have the game consist entirely of a level editor. Shouldn't there be some premade levels to play?
