Controls:

Left arrow - move left

Right arrow - move right

Up arrow - jump

Down arrow - slide

CTRL - attack

  Great job, though I totally sucked at it. I did a lot better once I plugged in the ol' 360 controller and used Flash Joystick :)

  That's one awesome game! I love the graphics, the sounds, and the game-play. It's tough to pull off an authentic retro feel to a game, and you did a good job. I also loved the parallax scrolling. It felt like I was playing a suped-up Atari game. The boss was challenging too. I died trying, but I'll give it another go. I'll keep this game in my best indie collection. 5/5

  Is there a tip for defeating the first boss? When he charges for you, you end up getting hit even if you're at the far left edge of the screen. If I try jumping over him, I get hit because he's too big to jump over without touching him. Then once I'm over I want to keep shooting him, but I can't turn around and shoot backwards, so I have to wait until he charges to the right and try jumping over him, but I always die trying to go over him.
  Suggestions:
  -If it's impossible to jump over him without getting hit, you should make him a little bit smaller so I can jump over.
  -Give the ability to turn around and shoot the other way, unless there is a way already that I don't know about.

  This game rocks :) the graphics are neat :) (may be need some more effects) but its awesome now :)
  
  This game is a good candidate for a Flash Port :) nice may be when I am finish my currently flash port :) I make one for it :) if u dont mind :)
