- Game Overview
"Low Bitrate Fighters" is a fighting game for two players entirely made out of videos of real fights found around the net. As fighters get physically destroyed, the quality of the video gets digitally destroyed.
"Low Bitrate Fighters" is an entry for the TIG Source "Versus" competition.
The game is quite big due to the amount of video so it comes in two parts.

Thank you! Yes I guess it lack a proper explanation, but I was really tired of the endless recompression process to get those videos look like that. It was long and boring thing but the result is nice.

Hey, that's interesting. I played the game with a friend and we decided to just play the fighter on the other side, so the left player would play the right fighter and vice versa.
Sorry, the gameplay was a puzzle we couldn't solve... Nicely recycled graphics, though!

Well it´s pretty random. I wanted this to be as skill demanding as a real street fight. The only way to avoid being hit is to hit back nonsensly until somebody gets hit, you have more chances if you hit faster though. The fact that the keys of the players are inversed is to create a real fight outside the game, you have your opponent´s hand close to you, you may want to grab your opponent´s hand to avoid him using his button...

I don't really get it... Am I supposed to hammer at my key faster than my opponent in order to win?
