  • Yup, there's not really any other way to do it.

Remember that if you don't want your source code published, just send it to me at contact@bk-tn.com or using any other pm method.

Contest ends tonight, and I'f prefer if you sumbit it before 0:00 GMT. It's not really a problem if you're less than an hour late, tho.

  • I won't be able to finish. -_-

  • There's no harm in submitting something. Who knows, there may only end up being 3 people who submit something. Quickly polish what you have. My game is missing half of the intended gameplay, but it's still good as it is.

  • Well, here's my finished game for the competition! I even included a log of what I did each day in a txt file called contest_log.txt if anyone is interested.

..Well, since only two people are done, I'm giving you to about midnight EST (I guess a lot here are americans) to quickly mash up the remains of your game.

  • Endgame? I thought midnight GMT figured to 8 PM EST this time of year. Either way, thanks for that midnight extension.

  • @Link3000, I played WarGames twice and got an error each time. This is the error I got the second time (because I didn't copy the first one):

    ERROR in
    action number 1
    of  Step Event
    for object drawable:

Error in code at line 12:
                   if (connected.dead == 0) {
                                 ^
at position 28: Unknown variable dead

    ---------------------------------------------------------

@GCshepard, I tried your game, but I don't really understand it. Can you provide better instructions?

    ---------------------------------------------------------

No offense to either of you. I'm just trying to provide feedback because I know it helps us all.

  • So how exactly is judging going to work?

  • Each of us simply pick the games we like the most, then discuss it this Friday via either Skype or the GJ chat.

Since only 3 of the 7 entrants have submitted anything, this is going to be quite akward - but since we can't just break promises, all prizes are still available.

  • @cmasupra: sure. I'll add more detailed mechanics instructions to my game's description.

I added some mechanics instructions now.

  • I uploaded a new zip with a (hopefully) fixed exe. I don't know what is causing that bug. In both sets of code, it checks to make sure that the variable connected exists. So somewhere, there must be a break in the logic letting some noones slip through or something.
