If we have somewhat slow upload speeds, could we submit an md5 of the game and have the game be uploaded a few mins later? Assuming it's a big file size

Does the game have to be played online, or can we make an offline game?

it's both allowed, the theme just has to be Fear, besides that you're pretty much off the hook :)

I might be a bit paranoid, but I have another question. I want to make sure I won't waste any time. Basically I'm working on a tetris-like game where the less completed rows you get, the more the fear induced (think of it like health, but inverse) as demons can attack you. When the fear meter is full, you lose the game. Does this qualify in the theme?

Maybe I wasn't very clear.

You're a god, and your tribe is being attacked by monsters. Using tetris-like gameplay, you must build a wall. However, the monsters attack the wall and bring it down. If it is a low wall, the tribe's fear increases - and if it increases by a certain amount, you lose the game as the tribe leaves you. If the wall is high, the fear decreases. If the monsters bring the wall down, you automatically lose the game.

Does this fit into the Fear Theme? I've been seeing a lot of dark, ghostly games, so I'm not sure whether games like this would be accepted.

Nyphoon ~ As long as you think it qualifies as relating to the theme it should be fine. It's more likely to win the better it incorporates the theme, but if you think it incorporates the theme, go ahead and make it happen! 

On what will the judges judge us?

Is it just me or is the chat down?

And another question: How does the contest get judged?

Are there several parts where you get serparate scores for (graphics, gameplay, use of fear etc.) or is it just one score?

Yeh, same. It seems the chat and comp feed is down; about 7 hours ago I had a "Bad Gateway" error as well for a good while.

Same, 504, and now chat is not working :/.
