Game Jolt, Does CROS still care?

  • There's an idea. Where are all the good games? Like, Devil Hunter: Seeker Of Power, A Home Far Away, Backstage? Where are all the great flash games like NewGrounds has?

No offence to anyone here, but alot of what I've seen are short, quick games that take about 5 minutes to make, and a few seconds to beat. Or rediculously hard games that no one can beat.

Also, the earning system needs to be fixed, and the earnings need to be increased. $0.01 per month is hardly worth the effort that goes into games, so people are probably less inclined to do something long and reasonably challenging, and games that no one cares to play aren't going to bring along new members.

  • The earning system is slow. The more traffic gamejolt gets the more moneys you get! :D

I have an idea! GameJolt should allow you to link with your paypal. So on the games page it automatically has a donate button to you!

  • That's a genius idea. Post it in the Feedback thread.

  • Ok, I did

  • If you think GJ doesn't have any awesome games, then check this out. http://gamejolt.com/freeware/games/adventure/mythology/5537/

  • It was 'ok'. But I wouldn't go as far as to say it was enjoyable. The animations were far too quick and choppy, the enemies were far too over powering, and it borrowed too much from Ocarina Of Time. There were some huge flaws, such as, gaps in the cave wall, small enemies being able to hit you on top of crates from the ground, the creature in the beginning is nearly impossible to avoid, the game holds a small draw distance, and contains enemies with all-stopping might. I played up untill the section of the cave where you have to jump across a gap, and was met rather abrubtly on the other side, by a scorpion, who proceeded to knock me out of the air and into the pit, just short of the other side. I absolutely cannot stand games like that. I will give the game credit, though, it could have easily been an N64. Not one of the most popular, but an N64 game no less, and probably would have done considerable better as such.
