Hi everyone. I'm currently working on the Indie Game Challenge - has anyone heard of it? I'm new to this forum but it looks like there are a lot of people who should consider entering. It’s a great opportunity for game developers to get discovered and break into the industry, so I hope some of you check it out! All of the details can be found here - www.indiegamechallenge.com - but if you have any questions, just reply to this thread and I’ll get them answered!

I heard about this competition on the IndieGames blog and TIGS, sounds pretty good. There's just so many competitions going on currently that I doubt anyone would be able to participate in this, especially as I think there's actually a fee to enter your game.
Naturally, our priority here at the moment is the Axiom contest.
-
I was going to enter, then I realized you had to pay. Plus, there is going to be some tough competition.
-
Yeah, this competition is one of those big important ones with serious prizes, I should think the competition would be insanely difficult to beat.
-
Yeah with all of those professinals and stuff.
-
Hey, don't sell yourselves short. It's the INDIE gaming challenge for a reason. If you're still holding out, the deadline is this Saturday, 10/31.
Good luck, folks!
-
I love to, but I'll wait til my knowlegde improves vastly... like... 10 fold or something. Maybe another time.
-
I applied for that contest once and got asked for an entry fee and immediately replied "hell no."

Jenova Chen and Kellee Santiago, co-founders, thatgamecompany, creators of the unique and ethereal games Flow and Flower.
Kyle Gabler, co-founder and creative director of 2D Boy, and part of the team that co-created the wildly successful World of Goo.
Rod Ferguson, executive producer, Epic Games, who is part of the team responsible for the Gears of War franchise.
Alex Seropian, vice president creative development, Disney Interactive, co-founder of Bungie Studios and one of the fathers of Halo.

Tina Kowalewski, director of external development, Sony Computer Entertainment America, responsible for finding new talent and new games for Sony.
We're just a few weeks away from announcing finalists, and when I know who made the cut I'll be sure to share the info with all of you.

Wow. Some top-notch judges you have there. With that, I'm pretty sure a load of games might get published, too.
Thanks, I'll be interested in hearing updates on this from you.

I'm gonna enter catch the clown and see if i win lulz
-
Little late.

-
Even if you wasn't late, this is a top-notch, professional competition like the IGF, and this actually had an entry fee too.
-
I think I'll enter. My game will be about 96 hours late

I recognized the name Kyle Gabler... that's about all, though.

Hey everyone - wanted to let you know that the IGC finalists have been announced! You can check the games and their videos out at http://www.indiegamechallenge.com/home/ and vote for your favorite.
Not only does your vote help determine the winner of the Gamer's Choice Award, but it also enters you to win a trip to the G4TV studios in Los Angeles, $1000 in spending money, and an opportunity to meet gaming guru Adam Sessler.
There are some really neat, innovative games in the finals. What's your favorite?
