Achievements? Anyone?
Posted On 12/18/2009 By CROS
The long awaited Game Jolt achievements system is nearing completion. But before it's ready for the masses, we'd like to ask for some helping hands to get us closer to crossing that finishing line.
The goal is to create the best stinkin' achievements system out there that works with as many platforms as possible while still being extremely easy to use. To get to our goal we need your help. This marks the start of the achievements closed beta program.
We're looking for developers that are interested in using the achievements system with their games; adding trophies and such. We're also looking for devs that may be interested in creating plugins and libraries for working with the GJ API system for various creation tools and programming languages. If you think you're up to the task, you can go here to learn more information and see how to sign up.
Thanks, and we hope to have more news on this subject as soon as possible with your valued help during the closed beta!

Actually, 3.1? Unity for that matter? /reallyhopeful?

Does RPG Toolkit support extension via DLL's? If so, it'd probably be possible.
Andrew Gray said 2 years ago
It does - http://www.toolkitzone.com/, ->Community. There are some recent Toolkit subforum posts about making DLL extensions. Jackyboy is known to be knowledgeable about this.

I can't say for sure (having not used RPG Toolkit in years), but you should be in luck, then. :)

Man, I'd really be interested in this... But I don't have money for the full version of GM (the only thing I'm comfortable with using right now), so I can't do any online things...
=(

So we should make a custom game just for this system? I think I can do that, hopefully.

I've sent an e-mail. No response...

Awesome news! I'm looking forward to implementing achievements in games. I might even be able to write a DLL for quick implementations.. we'll see..

Exciting I can't wait. Hope it works for GM as well. If so I will be using it.

Yeah, we've got code for GM already. =D
