Fibber

Game Jolt aggregates independent gaming news, articles and reviews from across the Web into one place. This article was pulled from Play This Thing!. Be sure to check out their site for more independent game news.

Fibber is little more than a quiz; alternately, a cartoon Obama and a cartoon Romney say something they actually said, and you have to decide whether the statement is true or false. If you guess wrong, you lose one of a half dozen "articles of clothing" at screen bottom, and if they lie, and you catch them, the character loses an article of clothing. Sort of "strip gotcha."

The developers are pretty even-handed; it appears they've found about an equal number of untruths or partial truths from both candidates. And they're a little tricky; some things that seem pretty incredible are actually true. (Romney's dad, a sometime automobile industry executive, once crusaded against "gas-guzzling dinosaurs;" whoda thunk?)

This may be mildly educational, but it's still a pretty dull game.

Fibber is a 2012 Games for Change nominee in the Knight News Game category
